My dad took Mahesh, Chris and I to the Pyramid at CSULB to watch the Summer Pro League games. There were 5 games that day, but we didnt stay to watch them all. LOS ANGELES LAKERS vs. the Washington Wizards and some other playoff games (championship game is tommorow). We were really really close to the action. We were in the fourth row, about maybe 15 feet from the court. The closest any of us will probably ever be from a professional NBA game. Anyways it was really awesome. The players were dunking a lot and everything. LAKERS won 134-118. And the other game was 136-120. Burgandy won against red. Nothing like loud distorted music coming out of huge speakers (you would probably expect bad acoustics in the inside of a pyramid) and a lot of cheering fans; it is a lot more fun than yelling at your tv, because the player can acutally hear you (there was this player on the Wizards named Scooter and a group of kids kept chanting his name whenever he had the ball. It was pretty funny but I thought it was probably annoying to him, but maybe it gave him confidence, because he was on fire the whole game) I probably said ohhhh and awwww at least a dozen times or a combination of both (oh-awwww). Oh yeah and of course a bunch of SPL girls.
Now listen, I didn't take a picture of them on purpose, I was trying to get Andrew Bynum. And I did suceed, that is his back to the left. It is actually harder than I thought taking pictures of atheletes at sporting events. Oh yeah, because they are constantly moving, oops XD
and yay a woman referee.
My dad caught a "Growl Towel" that the SPL girls threw. Pretty lucky. Earlier this year, we caught free tickets to Mighty Ducks game at a UCLA game. I think the towel is actually worth more than the tickets (jk) because people in America like hockey about as much as they do soccer. Which is not very much. Both games are similar too.
One of my favorite players, Jordan Farmar, straight outta UCLA after leading the team to the championship game. (yes, I know they lost, don't remind me)
